The Paxfocus on its wall in the dark, the flattened dome's wide mouth with its log fire

Same design. Half the footprint.

“Similar in shape to the popular Ergofocus, the Paxfocus wall-mounted fireplace delivers the same sought-after design with added space-saving convenience.” It comes on wood, or on gas with a remote in your hand.

I

Half an inch of wall

The back sits ½″ off the wall — the manual’s own clearance. The teardrop’s profile, flattened to hang where a floor-hog can’t go.

II

The old storyteller

“Fire, ancient storyteller for the eye and ear” — the brochure’s line. An open 740 mm slot of it, at hand height.

III

Baked, not painted on

The finish is thermoplastic paint baked at 250 °C for 30 minutes — the manual’s own recipe for a black that stays black.

These are the numbers we install to — every number above is Focus’s own published figure, nothing rounded by us, nothing guessed. Where the maker’s listing and manual differ, we print both. We’re an authorized Focus dealer — the maker’s own locator lists our Coldwater showroom. See the maker’s own Paxfocus page — brochure and manual on hand at the showroom.

Quick answers

The three things everyone asks.

Does it really sit that close to the wall?

Half an inch off the back wall — the manual’s own number. The wall side stays cool by design; the sides want 29″ and the floor below gets a non-combustible pad reaching 18″ out front in Canada. The suspension plate anchors to the wall structure, which we assess before quoting.

What chimney does it need?

A factory-built HT chimney — UL 103 in the US, ULC S629 in Canada — on a nominal 8″ natural-draft flue rising straight off the hood. Listing 203 mm, manual 205 mm: same 8″ system, quoted both.

Who installs a wall-hung fireplace?

A WETT-certified crew — ours. Wall structure first, then the plate, the fire, and the flue, all to the maker’s manual — and the annual sweep after that is one call.
