Yes — a serious one: 8″ or 10″ insulated chimney depending on size, engineered into the wall the 21 is built into. We design the run with your builder, install it and sweep it — WETT-certified.
That’s the guillotine’s whole point — “raised or lowered for an open or closed fire,” with the optional guillotine fire screen standing guard while it’s up.
Logs to 40″ go in, ash comes out, the glass drops for cleaning, and the chimney gets its annual sweep — our trade, same crew that installed it.
