Gas inserts · Barrie, Orillia, Muskoka & Parry Sound
A gas insert is a sealed firebox that slides into your existing masonry or factory-built fireplace and vents up the chimney you already own, through a new liner. Real flame, real heat — no wood, no smoke, no cold draft.
We measure the firebox and choose the Enviro insert that fits it — E, EX or Q series — so the surround sits like it was built for the room.
Gas line sized and run by TSSA-licensed fitters, and a new liner run up your existing chimney — the parts you can’t see are the parts we won’t compromise.
Pressure testing and leak detection on every insert, the old damper and firebox made right for gas — a fire that’s beautiful AND boring, safety-wise.
Why people call us
Three reasons people stop burning wood in an open fireplace.
An open masonry fireplace sends most of its warmth up the flue. A sealed insert puts the heat where you sit, and stops the room’s warm air escaping when the fire is off.
No rebuild. The insert lives inside your existing fireplace and the liner runs inside your existing flue — sixteen-plus years of these into cottages, lakehouses and city rooms.

Quick answers
Almost always. Enviro makes eight insert sizes, from the compact E20 to the extra-large E44 and EX35. We measure your opening and depth and tell you honestly which ones fit before anything is ordered.
No. The insert vents through your existing chimney with a new liner run inside it. If the chimney has problems we find them first — the same crew sweeps and repairs them.
Both. Enviro gas inserts are built for natural gas and for propane, so a cottage on a tank works too. The gas line is sized and run by TSSA-licensed fitters either way.
