Quick answers
No. The S20 is direct vent — a 4″ intake and 6⅝″ exhaust run out a wall or up through the roof. No masonry, no liner, no sweeping.
Closer than any wood stove could: the manual’s clearances are 8″ to a sidewall, 4″ to the back, 3″ in a corner, and 0″ to a hard floor. Send us a photo of your corner and we’ll confirm the fit before you spend a dollar.
No wood to haul, no ash to sweep. Like any gas stove it wants an annual service — that’s our trade, and the crew that installs it does it.
