The Enviro Q1 gas fireplace in a black studio void — an upright portrait window of fire

Q1

The little lantern in the wall.

Enviro · Gas Fireplaces

Small wall, real flame.

A portrait window of fire — taller than it is wide — with the line’s best efficiency behind it.

I

An upright window

16½ by 18¾ inches of glass, taller than it is wide — the Q1 reads like a lantern, not a television.

II

A clean face

“Clean face look — no louvers” and a “hand welded firebox,” in Enviro’s words — nothing on the wall but fire.

III

Two ways in

“Top / rear venting options” and “Fireplace & Fireplace Insert configurations” — the same firebox drops into a new wall or an old masonry opening.

Quick answers

The three things everyone asks.

Do I need a chimney?

No. The Q1 is direct vent — a 4″ intake and 6⅝″ exhaust run out a wall or up through the roof. No masonry, no liner, no sweeping.

Can it go into my old fireplace?

Yes — the maker’s own words: “Fireplace & Fireplace Insert configurations.” A co-linear adapter kit turns the same Q1 into a masonry-opening insert. Its insert build gets its own page next.

What’s the upkeep?

No wood to haul, no ash to sweep. Like any gas fireplace it wants an annual service — that’s our trade, and the crew that installs it does it.
